Happy New Year and welcome to 2024!
2023 was amazing. Performing virtually has become a way of life for me since the pandemic and I am enjoying doing it. Last week, I brought Rosa Park's story back to life virtually with the Genesee
District Library. The comments were very good especially since many people have no idea that Black people in Alabama and Mississippi had to pass a literacy test in order to register to vote! I am so glad I was able to bring her story to life again through my storytelling. This week, I will be performing African and African American Folktales for virtual school students. Next week the life of Harriet Tubman will grace the screens of more virtual schools. I do miss in person performances but for now this works for me. Life is good!
